1) Hot food is a prerequisite. 2) The only Indian takeaway I have ever had bland food is Jays Kitchen. 3) Delivery time very slow.
The food was delicious and we would recommend you to friends. It would be good to have an chilli scale to give an idea of how spicy, and an option to make dishes a little spicier if the chef can do that. It would be good to eat rasmalai or gulab jamun, my favourites.
Unfortunately my experience this time wasn’t great. The first issue is the App (iPhone). It doesn’t let you pay by card... either the one stored or a different one. You have to select pay by cash then ring up. Frustrating as we don’t have cash in the house and in current times I would’ve thought card payment was essential. This functionality has been broken for a while and we have mentioned it multiple times. 2nd issue is the time slot not being kept to... I ordered my door for 7:25 as the app allows but it turned up at 6:25. I even mentioned the time when I rang up to pay and whoever was on the phone said it would be 45min... I said that I had ordered it for 7:25. The issue here is that I am getting my daughter to bed from 6:15 - 7:00 so I can’t sit and enjoy a takeaway, but if I wait until she is settled I then have to wait up to 1hr for food to arrive. I had to send the food back in the hope that as it was clearly 1hr early you would replace it with fresh food... I really don’t think that was the case as it Luke warm when it arrived. Very disappointing. This is not the first time it has happened! My 3rd issue is the dismissive attitude of whoever was on the phone dealing with my order. I tried to extol in the issues twice... once when I rang to pay and then again when he rang to ask if I was ready for it to be delivered... I was cut short both times. I wasn’t being aggressive and I would’ve thought someone pointing out issues that could be putting off other customers from ordering! I have always thought your food was one of the best in the Frome area but I’m seriously put off from ordering again after this experience! Cheers Chris
